I am taking all documents, but what specifially they look for? I am confused by what they mean "Originals and copies of all supporting documents submitted with the application"? Does this mean documents submitted with I-485 or labor certificate?

I have a question: How many months in advance should you apply for H1 extension? Do you get extension from the date you applied or from date when your H1 expires?
1) You can apply up to 6 months before your H1 expires.

The USCIS has been pushing proposals to change procedures of filing of nonimmigrant petitions as well as I-485 applications for sometime. The agency placed these proposals on its agenda this year and surely enough, it has initiated the first part of its agenda in its rule-making vault. The agency drafted and has been seeking the OMB approval for proposed regulation to require pre-registration of the H-1B petitions, apparently as part of its business transformation transition program. It appears that the proposed pre-registration requirement in the H-1B petition process may not bring a drastic impact on the H-1B petitioning employers and the alien beneficiaries. However, its agenda for requiring I-485 applicants to pre-register their intents to file I-485 applications regardless of the visa number availability in the Visa Bulletin will have a significant impact on the immigrants because the proposed rule would discontinue the concurrent filing process for employment-based adjustment of status applicants and would require that an alien seeking to immigrate based upon a classification that is subject to numerical limitations must be the beneficiary of an approved immigrant petition prior to proceeding through a revised adjustment of status process. In plain language, it means that it would terminate the current I-140 and I-485 concurrent filing procedure. The agency justification was to streamline the overall I-485 process and to mitigate visa retrogression through improved estimation of immigrant visa availability. This proposal is still in the vault of the USCIS rule-making agenda with the initial estimation of the proposed rule initiation action in October 2010. We have no information as to whether or not the agency will keep this schedule or will rather turn it over to FY 2011. Whether it initiates sooner or later, it will not have an immediate impact on the foreign workers seeking a green card as the rule-making process will drag into months to come in year 2011. But this is something one has to keep an eye on the development of the USCIS schedules of changes in application procedures. Thanks for your reply guys..I have 71 points (with 16 language point). Hence I have to get at least 12 points in language skill. I think i will have to sit for IELTS..no other choice man :( But I have found in one canadian immigration forum that one guy with similiar situation replied back to canadian consulate that he studied English from school and also his work experiance is in english and he really thinks he should get 16 points. And then the embassy called him for an interview in NY and finally he got his PR. But this is just one example, everyone else ultimately took IELTS...

can i invoke a AC21 on future gc..I did not work for this company, i am tired of my current company, they have exploited me and my personality is changing and i forgotten to live life, want to port and move on to a new company ? is AC21 on future GC consider legal or fraud.?

Alright.. I had the power (zee.. I am so powerful) to give you some reputation in IV society and I did that because you sound like a very nice person. :D

I recently quit Wipro in United States after servicing two weeks notice period. Wipro didn't want me to stay longer as client was not willing to pay longer than two weeks. I have not signed any service agreement with them when I came onsite on H1B. However, they insist that their deputation letter sent through email is legally binding on me even though I didn't sign a hard copy of the letter. They are asking me to pay $10,00 or serve 6 months notice period which is no longer possible as I have already joined another company. I am seeking legal help in India and planning to sue them as they have withold all my PF, Gratuity, Leave encashment and other dues, experience/relieving letter. Is it possible to sue them in United States as I currently do not stay in India? Also, can I complain to DOL, USCIS about these issues. If yes, how do I go about it?

After talking to them for first 5 minutes, I hung up my cell phone and never picked their call again. Azim Premji should go back and sell his cooking oil. Managers responsible for this kind of fraud should do 20 years in federal penitentiary and then deported back in plane full of shit to their native country:D.

I'm confused - what is the point of applying for AP if you aren't also applying for EAD?
Yes, I believe you can apply for EAD yourself
AP is a must. If you travel out of the country and your GC gets approved while you're away... your H1 becomes invalid and you cannot use it enter US. The only way to return then is AP.

My I-140 was filed in Jan 06 and was cleared by March 06. Not sure if it depends as to where it's being sent to.
I think mine went to Nebraska.

I was in the same situation as you when I applied. In general, there should not be a problem with MS+0.
Another alternative is to show the experience gained at your current employer in your application. For that to happen, you should've been promoted to a position in which ur exprience is 50% same as your old position, then you can get an affidavit from your manager stating this fact.
This is what we had done for my traditional labor. I believe it still holds true for PERM, suggest you talk to the company's lawyer.

Is there anyway we can help the family featured in this thread? Like helping them with funds to hire a good lawyer or something on those lines? Hold your hourses until you hear the true story of this family. As I said, I tried to find their court decision online (court decisions are public documents), and it was not there. It means that they gave assumed names, also it probably means that they do not want people to read their court documents. I personally have seen asylum cases, and let me tell you, some of them are so full of lies, you would not belive your eyes (I have seen a guy who claimed his wife was beaten and denied medical services - he has never been even married!). I think their story goes like this - they came on tourist visas to visit her family, after that they stayed illegally for 2-3 years saving money to pay the lawyers, after that they paid a crooked attorney to buy some fake "proof" that they were persecuted and applied for assylum. Their application went to court, where judge suspected something was fishy. He probably asked for additional proof or obtained evidence that their documents were fake, and denied the case. That's kind of typical story for a denied asylum, and I would be very-very careful in trying to help them personally. If they get some relieve as a result of a broader legislation, like 245(i), I would not mind it at all (they will, because they have a pending I-130), but helping them while not helping people who decided not to go out with swinging lies and just stayed illegally... I would stay away from it.

I think we can get some financial support from Housing Market !
Facts:

The housing market is slowing down significantly and there are millions of unsold homes out there.
More than 1/2 million people are stuck in the green card process. I am sure
most are waiting for green card before they buy their house and make longtime commitment.
I think we are a "Frozen" pool of customers for the Housing Market.
500000 H1B X 200000 (average house price) = 100 billion dollar market is just
inaccessible just because of retrogression.
I think we should convince them to help us FINANCIALY.
Please IV Core members take this idea seriously and at least
SEND A LETTER TO National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) president.
