I have sent my application on July5th to NSC. It is received by NSC at July6th.Did any one got receipts in 5th or 6th filer..
I didn't see much of filed between july'3nd through july '14th filings in this forum.

Thanks sledge for your support.. That's exactly what I meant. One should at least have a job before applying for H1. I am in totally favor of H4 visa holders to be able to work. There are so many highly educated and talented people out there who are stuck at home or school because of H4 work permit law.

I am starting this new thread to discuss about EB visas spillover usage based on oldest priority date irrespective of category/country. Currently the spillover happens vertically(a top down approach) from EB1 -> EB2 -> EB3...etc. Instead it should be first used on cases with oldest priority date. This will not only give a good move to clear the backlog but will also be a fair rule for those who are patiently waiting in queue for a long time. I wrote my concern about this to my local congressman. I also request each one of you, who is impacted by this, or who is interested to help us out, to kindly contact your local congressman/woman to express your concern. In turn they can contact USCIS to implement this fair rule to help us all out.

I've seen some posts here and people complaining that the GC process has a stranglehold on their lives.
I've been struggling for the GC for the simply reason that my wife can work. Now she's finally a qualified dentist and someone is sponsoring her visa. She could have worked in the last 5 years .. as an assistant and made money .. and done some work. But since I did not have an EAD for her .. that wasn't possible.
But our lives were not held ransom by the GC process. We travelled a lot .. pretty much have seen more of this country than even the natives :). Read, watched movies, socialised .. I think to a large extent we had a lot of fun. Agreed that the process is painful.. and you are held hostage.
But at the end of the day it is your life ..
Simple options are:
1. Wait .. since there is no other alternative
2. Push through IV activities .. so that you are involved
3. Check some other country ..
4. Go back to India. (not saying in a bad way)
At the end of the day .. peace of mind is more important.
The only reason 99% of the people are here is becuase 1$=44.5Rs.
Had it been 1:1.. I would be on the next flight back home .. enjoying family, friends, bhelpuri, cricket , 10000 festivals, neigbors trooping in .. etc etc .
There are always answers.

If you think , by asking foreign born workers to go back you can get more access to the so called "wealth" you are talking about , its time you enroll for an Economics 101 . It is your proud America that has long been shouting from the rooftops about the need to have more open borders, facilitate global transfer of knowledge and commodities . Anyway , I dont think I have to even argue with you as you need lots of orientation before I get into a meaningful debate with you . I am happy for one thing thou , that inspite of zealots like you America has had great visionaries in tha past that made this country the only existing super power in the world , else it would have been like another Eastern European country .

I saw CPO status for my EAD status (WIFE'S Status still pending)
My receipt date was 7th July
Also, I485 pending at NSC...WAC receipt

Paper filed EAD for me and wife on June26..TSC RD -June30..CPO on Sep'02.
Looks like people whose RD is around last week of June'08 are getting EAD approved...Good luck.

I totally agree - our concern should begin and end with whether our interests are addressed or not. This is not the time to argue and nitpick on what is good for the whole world in the long term - remember, there is no "long term" for us without a GC. Lets be realistic - its a done deal that EB reform if all it comes up, will come with either a generous H1-B increase or illegal alien amnesty or both of them. Its not our job to worry about excessive immigration - the anti-immigrants and their friendly congressmen are always there to raise a hue and cry and dilute any and all pro-immigrant proposals. With them at work, if we ask for a yard we will get a foot, if we ask for a foot we will end up with not even an inch.
Well, it is not a perfect world. It is not a perfect system. When CIR comes up every group will push for their interests. If u send a mail to any Senator, all u get is a standard reply about H1-B. All checks cashed including PP for I-140 ON 2nd June 2007.
I have a couple of questions:-
How long before i get a answer on Premium Processing on I-140.
How long for Finger Printing notice.
How long before i get EAD.
Can i renew my CA drivers license with I-1485 filing receipt or do i have to wait for EAD.
Thanks folks and hang in there.( It took 6 years for LC approval).

I think we have a provable point as per the USCIS CSR msg "We approve all cases based on the order they are received". So basically it says Approval based on ND. Approving Oct'07 NDs and not approving (not even touching) Jul-Sep NDs makes a valid point.
I am not sure how to put our case based on PD because to me PD serves the purpose of passport to get in and then line is formed by ND. But sure, if anyone could put some thoughts and define the situation, I think its well worth to try something different now.

You are in the EB3 category, do you ever wonder why somebody who is more educated than you or me, makes more money? Can we say, hey you I was born in 1890 I should make more money, it does not fly, EB3 is not a reflection on your skills but more the job you hold.
The question you should ask is why have EB1, 2, 3, etc?
Why do you not include the family based categories, isn't family first, why not the EB spill over to to FB first then whatever trickles down comes to EB, is not this fair? I am sure there are a lot in the FB queue who have waited for longer than you. Now dont tell you you are better than FB because you are highly skilled, pay taxes, etc.
You signed up for this knowing what was in store.
You think writing a letter or starting up a thread is going to help?

I got my EAD today...Even i received my EAD also...Mine is sent to NSC on july 2nd...I received EAD's from Texas Center...I think my application was transferred to Texas...I have approved I-140 from Texas...Are receipt numbers for EAD, 485, AP are in serial? I haven't received receipts yet...I filled G-28...my attorney did not receive my receipts...I don't know what is going on...

On aug 9 th, USCIS nebraska center issued a total of 4063 receipt nos for 485, EAD, and APs.

From this, if we assume ~4000/day, it ll take 20 working days to clear july 2nd filers (~80,000). My guess is by 31st Aug.
We need something similar for the Sept 18th DC rally. Can you guess? :)
