The EB-2 category for Indian nationals has retrogressed four years and will be set at January 1, 2000 for applications received beginning June 1st. If you are from China, the backlog is five years less - February 15, 2005. And if you are from any other country in the world, there is no wait at all. I am really appalled that Congress allows such an unjust distribution methodology to remain the law. No country is permitted to claim more than 7% of the numbers in a green card category. Atlast all my checks are cashed today. I am able to get my case number from the checks. Even though INS received my application on June 6th, in my 485 it says that they have received my application only on June 11th. Wonder why?

Here's more information. I only got the receipt numbers. The package arrived at NSC on 7/3 and recieved by R. Williams at 9:03am. My I-140 was approved at TSC last year. I live in NSC area. Receipt numbers started with LIN, so the cases were not transferred to TSC. I hope this means that they're processing the box for 9:03 on 7/3.

By the way if we have 20,000 members and even if each pledge $5, we can reimburse the core team expenses. How often we have to teach and tell the Math to our so called highly skilled free riders.

RD: 26th July (sent on 25th July)
ND: 22nd Aug
140 was approved at NSC. No LUDs on my approved I-140 or H1s.
Attorney sent his checks, so don't know whether those checks are cleared or not.
Even though I applied 485, AP, EAD for me and for my wife in the same package, we
received receipt for only my I-495. Hey, I'm not complaining. Just passing this info to you guys.

July VB Fiasco I-485 Receipting Delays
The USCIS has yet to release the detailed progress report on the receipting delays in terms of the numbers that have yet to be processed for receipting. The only thing people know through various private websites just indicates that there are a plenty of people who are still waiting for filing fee checks cashed or receipt notices received for the cases which were filed as early as July 2, 2007, not to mention any later cases.
We reported earlier that the USCIS had allegedly received total of 800,000 cases for the July VB fiasco cases. There is an unconfirmed report that they have completed the receipting only half way through of the total, meaning approximately 400,000. There are no sources of information to verify or confirm the figures. However, if it is correct, the USCIS has yet to process mountains of receipting workloads ahead and the filers have some additional sleepless nights which they will have to endure for a while. AMEN!

Dear friends we are all in this long and arduous journey together! So let�s channelize and focus our energies to achieve our goals & not scoring goals / points over each other. Iam new to this forum. I see this as an excellent place to get information and hear different points of view. I highly respect comments / suggestions from other members, I know this journey has taken a toll on everybody, however cheer up and never loose hope, each one of us will have our day, persistence and hard work always pays, merit must rule and may it overrule ! The silver lining is that several people got their GC�s this month so lets be happy for them, people are crossing the tunnel and seeing light, so will we one day.

If you are that "innovative", why dont you write that letter yourself. Why are you looking for the support of the IV community?
What have YOU done for the IV community except ask everyone to join you in your tiny specific micro-action items which benefit only a small fraction of the community like 5 people who have joined this law suit. Is that your definition of "innovation"? Coz if it is, I would much rather be a LOWLY Eb3 and fight for a common cause than be an "upper class" Eb2 fighting for just myself.

My receipt #s start with LIN. I did call USCIS regarding my receipt #s, and level I customer service wasn't able to find the numbers in the system. Obvisouly they have limited access to the system. I spoke to a level II IO, and they were able to pull up my information. They said that it will take a couple of days before I'm able to track my case online.
In any case, are you waiting to receive your receipts in the mail, or for your checks to be cashed?
